01 — Context
Vantage Automobiles is an independent automotive consultancy helping clients source, evaluate, and acquire vehicles with confidence. Operating in a market where trust is the product, they needed a brand identity that would communicate credibility and expertise from the first impression — something that felt established without being stiff.
02 — Challenge
Vantage came with no visual identity at all. The brief was to build one from scratch: a logo system, a colour palette, and a set of guidelines that would give the business a professional face across every touchpoint. The design challenge was distinguishing a young consultancy in a field where competitors either lean on heritage clichés or underdifferentiated corporate aesthetics.
03 — Process
I started with a positioning exercise — mapping where Vantage sat between warmth and precision, approachability and authority. From there, moodboards led to logo exploration: several directions were tested before landing on a mark that balanced confidence with restraint. Typography and colour were chosen to reinforce the same qualities — reliable, legible, credible.
04 — Deliverables
The full brand package included a primary logo and logomark with usage variations, a complete colour palette and typographic system, a brand guidelines document for consistent application, and a set of mockups showing the identity applied across real-world contexts — stationery, signage, and digital formats.
05 — Outcome
The brand was delivered and well received. It gave Vantage a clear, professional face to take into the market — something that could hold its own against more established players while still feeling specific to who they are.
